Update Destination Signs on Vehicle
To update the destination signs, first make sure that you update your destination sign stick to the newest version. You can find those instructions at the URL below
https://helpdesk.yankeeline.us/support/solutions/articles/33000008715
Once the update is complete, follow this procedure to update the signs
New Flyers
UPDATED - Massport New Flyer Signs are now available on the USB Stick after download.
UPDATED - Some buses require Passcodes, that is listed below
- Remove the cover from the USB Port
- Insert the USB 2.0 end into the Port. It should slide in, do not force it.
- A small usb stick symbol will appear in the top corner of the screen.
- On some buses, the system will ask for a password. The Password is 1234. There is no way to change this.
- NEW - SELECT AYL-SIGNS file on the menu and hit okay. The file will look something like AYL-NF-Update-DATE
- If you are updating a Massport Bus, choose the Massport File
- Once the update is complete, the controller will alert you that it is safe to remove the stick.
- Once you remove the stick, the destination sign will restart. Do not shut the bus off until it has completed this update.
Coach Buses
All Yankee Line Coach Buses use either a DC600 or a KC640. You can tell the difference based on the table below.
KC640
DC600
The update procedure is the same, but YOU MUST select the correct file from the USB stick. Otherwise there will be ghost messages and other issues with the signs.
- Insert the USB 2.0 Stick into the USB port
- From the update menu, select the file that matches your sign and model number
- KC640.trx -> KC640
- DC600.trx -> DC600
- There is an additional file which says when the database was last updated. It is called UTD-[DATE].txt. Do not select this file
- Once selected, the sign will load the codes from the USB stick. Leave the stick in during this update process.
- Once updated, enter code 100. This is a reserved code that will show you when the last update is.
- Remove the USB stick.
